The New York Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has announced the release of the BioTrack NY Application Programming Interface (API), a key development for the state's cannabis industry, as well as the timeline that vendors must select their Seed to Sale vendors by.
At Canix, we are committed to ensuring a seamless transition for our customers as they navigate these changes.
What Does This Mean for You
By January 17, 2025, all licensees must notify the OCM of their chosen inventory tracking system vendor that will integrate with the BioTrack API. Canix is fully prepared to support this integration, leveraging our proven experience with the Florida BioTrack API, which forms the foundation for New York's system.
While the January deadline pertains only to selecting a compatible vendor, the OCM has not yet announced when the integration must be fully operational. Our team is already working to have the NY BioTrack API integration ready by March 31, 2025, well in advance of any deadlines. We are finalizing our development timeline this week and will share updates as they become available.
To notify the OCM of your intention to use Canix, send us an email and we'll provide you with the contact information for your application.
