Greetings Metrc Users,

Metrc, in conjunction with the LDAF and Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, is pleased to announce the addition of the additional required field “Unit Volume” for the creation of tinctures. The complete list of required fields of entry for tincture items are as follows:

• Administration Method

• Unit CBD Content

• Unit THC Content

• Unit Volume

• Ingredients

• Product Photo

• Label Photo

• Packaging Photo

Tinctures items will require approval from the LDAF and Louisiana Board of Pharmacy before licensees can create packages of them inMetrc.

Required Field for Tinctures: Unit Volume

When creating a Tincture item in Metrc, it will be required to enter all of the previously communicated fields. In addition, it will now be required to enter the “Unit Volume” of the tinctures. Tinctures are count-based, so the Unit Volume field allows for the entry of the total volume each unit of tincture contains. In this example, the new tincture item will have 100milliliters in each bottle. This process is demonstrated in Figure 1below.
