Greetings Metrc Users,
Metrc, in conjunction with the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC), is providing notice that as of May 22nd, 2020 there will be additional fields for photos, when adding or editing all items. These fields will include the following:
• Product Photo
• Label Photo
• Packaging Photo
These photo fields are optional and will not affect the use ofpreviously created or new items.
Please see the following pages for more details on the changes.
When creating or editing items users will now see three optional photo fields that allow for one photo upload per field. The CCC would like to indicate the purpose of each photo field and how to best utilize themif the licensee chooses to upload photos for the item:
Product Photo – Front of Item
Label Photo – Label with warnings and universal symbols
Packaging Photo – Item next to packaging
Figure 1 shows an example of the action window that will seen when choosing to add a new Infused (edible) item which will not include the upload photo fields.
Please Note: Previously created items in these categories will still be able to be utilized. Not utilizing these fields will not prevent the creation of new items. The CCC has requested that licensees review their already created items and add the photos on their own if desired.
