At Canix, we’re always striving to provide our customers with the most seamless and reliable experience possible. Over the past year, our engineering and product teams have tackled significant technical challenges head-on—and the numbers speak for themselves. From improving response times to drastically reducing the number of bugs, we’ve made remarkable strides toward creating a smoother, faster, and more robust platform.
Improving app performance was another top priority, and we’ve seen dramatic results. Our slowest 1% of calls were taking up to 7 seconds at the beginning of the year—now that’s down to 0.8 seconds. This change means faster load times and smoother navigation, greatly enhancing the day-to-day experience for everyone using Canix.
Previously, on-demand Metrc syncs could take over 20 minutes, and automated syncs only ran once every 24 hours. For packages and transfers today:
This increased frequency and speed ensure that critical inventory data is always up-to-date, drastically reducing the need for manual refreshes.
Because of our streamlined package and transfer sync processes, the number of manual Metrc refreshes dropped from around 31,000 per month in January 2024 to about 16,000 per month in January 2025—a 50% reduction. Once we expand these improvements to include plants, items, and harvests, we expect to see even greater drops in manual refreshes and an even more efficient workflow for our customers.
One of our primary goals has been to ensure our software is as stable and bug-free as possible. At the start of 2024, roughly 1 out of every 13,800 page views encountered a bug. By the end of 2024, we cut that number in half to 1 out of every 29,000 page views. That’s a big win for both our team and our users, as we continue to focus on providing a reliable, frustration-free experience.
We’ve also stayed vigilant about potential Metrc package mismatches. In March 2024 alone, there were 6 confirmed tickets tied to this issue. Today, we’ve eliminated these mismatches caused by Canix itself, with zero recent mismatches indicating a Canix-related bug. This is a testament to our continuous improvements in data accuracy and sync processes.
These metrics are more than just numbers—they’re a reflection of our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance software for the cannabis industry. We’re proud to share this progress, and we remain dedicated to further refining our platform. From optimizing speed and stability to reducing manual tasks, Canix will continue evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.
Through 2025, we’ll continue working tirelessly to make our app faster, easier, and more robust. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out to our team—we’re always here to help.
